RESPIRATORY PATHOGEN PANELS (RPP)
Empowering better care through better pathogen detection.
Biovision Diagnostics offers Respiratory Pathogen Panels that provide physicians and their patients with answers for the most common pathogens – viruses, bacteria, and parasites – that can lead to respiratory infections such as Influenza, RSV, and other related conditions.
Clinical laboratories typically rely on the combination of conventional microbiological and molecular methods, which can often cause delays in the identification of pathogens. For rapid identification of the pathogens, our multiplex front-line screening assays can be highly desirable and essential to facilitate the appropriate treatment of patients and reduce the inappropriate prescribing of antibiotic drugs.
WHAT MAKES OUR RESPIRATORY PATHOGEN PANELS BETTER?
FDA-CLEARED ASSAYS
Any of our FDA-cleared assays can run simultaneously
IN-DEPTH DETECTION
Detects and identifies multiple bacterial, viral, and parasitic pathogen targets and subtypes
FULLY-AUTOMATED PROCESS
Combines three testing steps into one, saving time and resources
RAPID TURN-AROUND
Results provided within 24-48 hours to aid in pathogen diagnosis
PATIENT-SPECIFIC REPORTING
Data masking option enables select target reporting based on clinician’s order
Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RPP)
Biovision Diagnostics’ Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RPP) is a qualitative, multiplexed, nucleic acid-based in vitro diagnostic test that simultaneously detects and identifies the presence of eleven (11) respiratory pathogens in a single reaction.
Our respiratory assays are the premier set of assays on the HOLOGIC® Panther Fusion system. We provide truly personalized syndromic respiratory testing with qualitative detection and differentiation of the most common respiratory viruses from a single patient sample obtained from individuals with signs and/or symptoms of respiratory tract infection.
The Panther Fusion Flu A/B/RSV, Panther Fusion Paraflu and Panther Fusion AdV/hMPV/RV assays comprise the IVD respiratory testing menu on the fully automated Panther Fusion system.
Each is a multiplex, real-time PCR in vitro diagnostic test that can be run on a single nasal swab specimen obtained from individuals exhibiting signs and symptoms of a respiratory tract infection.
